CONVERGING ON DECEMBER 1 –

PRISONERS FOR PEACE DAY AND GIVING TUESDAY!

Hi, friends,

Prisoners for Peace Day was established over 60 years ago by War Resisters’ International, to encourage people to write to conscientious objectors and others who are imprisoned because of their actions for peace.

Giving Tuesday, a global day dedicated to giving, was more recently established as a day for people to give to the non-profits of their choice, after the consumer frenzy of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

So please consider:

1) writing a note of support to one or more of the people in prison for their peace actions and

2) donating to The Nuclear Resister, which has supported imprisoned peace and anti-nuclear activists since 1980

…because the “spare change” we need is both social change and donations to carry on with the work of the Nuclear Resister!

Please click here to make a secure online donation (info also available here if you’d like to send a check; checks of $50 or more can be tax deductible) – http://www.nukeresister.org/donate/.

The Nuclear Resister is a small, bare-bones operation, and any amount you can give will make a significant impact in helping the work continue.

And please click on these two links for lists of imprisoned activists to write to:  http://www.nukeresister.org/inside-out/ and http://www.wri-irg.org/inprison.

They are in there for us; we are out here for them!

Thank you!

Peace,

Felice and Jack Cohen-Joppa, coordinators
